Anchor About

Hi, I'm Ruth! I began my career in the health and fitness industry over 30 years ago, training with the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), and the Athletics and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). In the late nineties, I discovered the Pilates method, training with Michael King (London), and going on to teach across Milton Keynes. Alongside teaching Pilates, I also taught numerous other group exercise disciplines for many of the local gyms and health clubs, and worked as a freelance Personal Trainer for David Lloyd Milton Keynes.

Over the last 30 years, I have continued to expand my knowledge, gaining a BSc (Hons) in Psychology, a Level 3 Diploma in Personal Training and a Level 3 Award in Education and Training. For the last five years I have worked as a part-time lecturer for Milton Keynes College, teaching across their sport and exercise science programme.

In 2023, following an accident, I broke my leg and ankle in three places, requiring surgery to implant plates and screws. My rehabilitation led to a renewed appreciation of the importance of strength, balance and flexibility exercises to future-proof the body as we age and a desire to help others do the same, so that they can lead a higher quality and more independent life.
